Frequently asked

This will depend on ticket sales and how many beds we have available. We will not be able to guarantee it until close to the event. If it is possible then it requires a surcharge of £86.
If your attendance is dependent on having a private room, talk to us and we will see what might be possible.
-
Absolutely. You can choose to partner with each other or with others for any of the exercises. There will be many invitations to switch partners for various exercises, and often also working in groups of 3 or more. You can choose what you do. You can also choose to share a room together.
You can expect any relationship issues that there may be between you to surface during the training, so it might not necessarily be an easy ride.

On the one hand I believe that this work is powerful whatever combination of genders enter into it together, perhaps even more powerful when you work with a less preferred of familiar gender as you will discover a lot about yourself.
On the other hand, it is my experience that when the balance is skewed too far then people generally feel less comfortable and satisfied. I will use my discretion depending on how the ticket sales go. No guarantees.
During the retreat we may refer to people who have lingams as “male bodies” and people who have yonis/wombs as “female bodies”, although I subscribe as little as possible to broad generalisations based on these categories. We will not ask you to pair up for any of the exercises based on gender, although you might choose to.

There may well be a limited number of discounted tickets available for the financially challenged. Contact us to discuss your case and apply for special consideration. We cannot offer discounts on accommodation/food costs.
-
This is generally discouraged, but it may be possible to attend the first 2 1/2 days for a reduced price, especially if if falls on a Friday - Sunday. It will depend on ticket sales as we will give priority spaces to those who can attend the full event.
You are, of course, free to leave any time you wish, but please let us know so we can be sure you are OK, we cannot give refunds for the remainder of the course.
It is not possible to join part way through. In exceptional circumstances it might be possible to start at the beginning of the first full day if you miss the first evening session.

In this case you would pay the same price as if you were bringing your own campervan, to cover food etc.
-
The venue can generally cater for vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, dairy free, and wheat free meals.
More specific diets may incur a fee of £4.25 per day.
If your diet is very specific you may have to provide your own, in which case we will work out the costs specific to your case
Message us with your specific case for more concrete information, especially if you have serious allergies.

Photos and videos of the team may be captured for promotional purposes, but they will not include participants in any recognisable form.
There may be occasions where we wish to take an image of the atmosphere of the whole room, and in those moments we will first request consent from all who are in the room.
Outside of this, no photography is permitted during sessions.

The facilitators will be available for one month afterwards to provide online support if you need it to help you with the integration process. We will also have a group WhatsApp where you can continue to share with each other and support each other going forwards.

This retreat is beginner friendly. It is a good option for people who are drawn to the work but don’t know where to start. We cover many tools that can help keep you safe when working with Eros as Medicine.
That being said, this retreat is not for everyone, and we would like to have a conversation with you first to asses your suitability. The main requirement is that you have a certain level of self awareness, where you are able to take challenging situations as medicine that you can learn from.

For many people this work will help them to explore their trauma in a new and empowering way, however this is not therapy and neither of us are trauma trained. We recommend that you speak to your therapist about whether this work is suitable for you.
In some cases this work can exacerbate existing traumas and risk re-traumatisation. If you have concerns it would be best to speak with us and we can discuss your specific case.

Our whole retreat has a boundary of no penetration for anyone, even people who come as a couple.
Beyond this we don’t feel the need to have additional boundaries for team during the event.
However we do have a boundary that team members will not be involved in a romantic or sexual connection with a participant for two months after the event.
And an additional requirement that any desires or steps in that direction be communicated and reflected on transparently within the team.
